Vasilis Vamvakas is a Senior Lecturer in Sociology of Communication at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Faculty of Communication and Media. He is the co-editor of «Greece in the 80s. Social, political and cultural dictionary» (To Perasma, 2010, Epikentro 2014) as well as the author of the following monographs: 

• Elections and communication in the post-dictatorship period. Politics and Spectacle (Savalas, 2006)

• Crisis Discourse. Polarization, violence and self-reflection in political and popular culture, (Epikentro 2015)
