Nkos Apostolopoulos was born in 1955. He holds a Biology degree from the University of Athens as well as a Diploma in Medical Photography from Sandwell College with an Onasis Foundation scholarship. He has been a professional photo reporter since 1982, and a medical and scientific photographer since 1984.
In 1992, he started teaching at the Photography and Audio-visual Arts department at the Athens TEI (Technological Educational institution). In 2008 he became a permanent Lecturer. He has curated and participated in many photography exhibitions all over Greece.
In 1992, he was awarded with the Pan-Hellenic Fuji award for his series of athletic photographs. He is a founding member, ex Vice President and Secretary General of the board of “Photojournalists of Greece”.
He is also the author of the following books:
• “Medical Photography” (ION Publications, 2004)
• “Cyclades and the Dodecanese” (Peripheria Notiou Aegaiou Publications, 2008)
